In 1996 the Bingham Association published a 600 page family history titled, The Bingham Family in the United States, The Descendants of Thomas Bingham of Connecticut. Thomas is considered to be our first American ancestor to bear that name. This single volume documented more than 7,000 descendants and 6,000 intermarried members of Thomas’s eleven children born in Connecticut, 1667 - 1690 and corrected and updated all earlier Bingham Family publications especially the 1927-1930 three volume set, The Bingham Family in the United States, compiled by Theodore A. Bingham.
